- ⁂ Test Drive Meme #6 (January 1st, 2026)
- While last year offworlders were still a bit too new to do much more than celebrate with fireworks and fanfare for the new year, this year there's certainly much more opportunity for revelry. Despite the hardships and uncertainty of the latter part of last year, people appear optimistic and ready to have a bit of fun.
People from all over the continent of Kamurkia have brought the ways that they ring in the new year. Have fun with pie, dancing, and feasts aplenty! Also, it may be time to reflect on how long some people have been here and... how to feel about that.

- ⁂ January 1st ~ 15th
- The first week of the year is dedicated to all things pie. Thankfully, the weather for this is either clear or partly cloudy. No one likes a soggy pie, alright! Even with all the festivities and cheer though, it's still frigid outside. So, take the time to enjoy some mulled wine or cuddle up close to someone to stay warm where you can.
Thankfully, despite the setbacks, the water and plumbing infrastructure is nearly complete in Town! People will soon be able to take all the hot showers and baths that they desire once more.

- As celebrations of the New Year begin to wind down, things go back to normal in Town and surrounding areas. Well, mostly normal. In the midst of a string of scattered snowstorms, it seems like there are members of the Brotherhood of the Sky taking advantage of the bad weather.
A series of break-ins occurs through Town; they seem to be targeting Dragonbonded, specifically, but not to harm them. Rather, they appear to be looking for something they believe the Dragonbonded might have. They will not clarify what though if caught and detained. These individuals will be turned over to the proper authorities and Charlie will try to figure out exactly what their motives are.

⁂ Town Town Hall Meeting (October 1st, 2024)
After the sudden influx of people from other realities, Charlie decides to host a Town Town Hall Meeting to help explain the situation to the native populace. This will also be hosted to help to encourage and foster communication between locals and offworlders since they'll be living and working together.
Snacks will be provided for the food-motivated to encourage attendance.
⁂ Quest Board Now Active! (October 1st, 2024)
To help integrate offworlders into life here in Town, a quest board is erected. People can choose to help around Town as they see fit and increase their reputation gradually as they do so.

An announcement from Slayd and his possum posse herald in the Fae Festival. To celebrate a year's hard work and bountiful harvest, the Fae party like there's no tomorrow. This year, you're invited! They're excited to meet all the off-worlders.
Make sure you follow the rules of dealing with the Fae though or face the consequences!

⁂ Rockstar Mingle (December 1st, 2024)
Now that people have gotten used to using their Rocky Talkies, a mingle for offworlders to connect with one another will appear. While unknown who initiated the spell, it doesn't seem... completely fine-tuned yet. Some people might have a profile posted without their knowledge. Others might find what they actually entered is different than what is posted on the public network.
Either way, it's not a bad idea to try and break the ice amongst fellow displaced individuals here in Town. Who knows! You might end making unexpected friends.
⁂ The Story of Creation (December 5th, 2024)
Since Charlie promised he would try and explain better what he thinks is happening to bring everyone here, he's finally ready to do so. And with a special guest, no less! One must know the history behind this world to understand how they got to this point and perhaps understand themselves better why they're being called here.

Temperatures continue to plummet as winter approaches quickly. Light snowfall can be anticipated once to twice a week at this point, but nothing too crazy- Oh. Wait a minute.
⁂ December 8th ~ 11th
Thanks to a change in environment and a newly formed pond in addition to the other bodies of water surrounding Town, an unexpected lake effect snowstorm will hit. It will start the evening of the 8th and bring an average of 1-2 feet of snow on the 9th and 10th. By the 11th, the storm will have blown over but... Hopefully, you have a friend in some fire-breathing dragon-bonded folks to help unearth you from where you'd been snowed in!
⁂ December 12th ~ 31st
During the last couple of weeks of the year, the citizens of Town decorate for the New Year's festivities on the horizon. Offworlders may recognize the sprigs of mistletoe decorating households and find they serve a similar purpose of encouraging people to kiss if caught beneath them.
Some have even been magically enchanted by local teenagers to grab the collar or sleeve of someone to keep them under it until a kiss happens. While one is able to deny their pestering, the willy wilt very sadly. How cruel of you.
Otherwise, offworlders are simply encouraged to help with decorating where they can.

⁂ Test Drive Meme #2 (January 1st, 2025)
The mining town of Hast is now open to offworlders! It is currently inhabited by many a kobold looking to trade. Anyone is free to visit and take in the sights of the bustling, industrial village. To help commerce and offworlders to further settle in, Charlie gifts everyone ten (10) gold pieces to spend.
One of the legendary heroes that Charlie spoke about in his broadcast last month is also paying a visit! A pirate captain by the name of Hoshiko. She promises a New Year's fireworks show for all who wish to attend... but she can't promise they'll keep all their gold gifted to them if they hang around her and her sticky fingers too long. Don't worry, you'll get it back! Most of it.

Mostly sunny with light, scattered snow showers possible every few days. Perfect weather for traveling to and from Hast as people wish!
One the days with snowfall, the kobolds will make snow goons for people to either help with or simply admire. Some of them may even attempt to sculpt a snowy visage of their 'Arsenal God.' (The keyword there is attempt.)
⁂ January 16th ~ 31st
Heavier snowfall and mainly overcast skies for the second half of the month. Temperatures will also be reaching their lowest points during this cold snap. Some locals mention how gloomy it seems and hope it isn't a bad omen.
While likely just anxious superstition, the world does seem to feel... quieter lately.

⁂ Event #2: Brain Boggling (February 1st, 2025)
After a quiet latter half of January, the peace is disrupted by a boom that brings brain boggling creatures to the doorsteps of the denizens of Town. Despite best efforts, several hybrid Intellect Devourers are now loose.
They are fast, deadly, and want the delicious contents of your mind. This breed specifically though will not kill its target; instead, it steals their memories and implants them into others haphazardly. The best guess why is that someone is trying to gain information on offworlders.

While the crash came during a time of light snowfall, the weather unexpectedly picks up in the worst kind of way.
A blizzard sweeps through Town and the surrounding areas. It makes catching sight of the Intellect Devourers - or finding help on the run from one - that much more difficult.
⁂ February 8th ~ 28th
Gloomy conditions continue to persist through the rest of the month. While the sun pokes out every few days, it is mostly cold and dark. It leaves locals chilled to the bone from not only the cold but fear of being found by an Illithid unawares.

Although there a couple of frigid days that linger, Town and surrounding areas beginning to gradually warm. Temperatures begin to climb out of consistently freezing.
Life and green begins to poke through the white of the last snowfalls melting away. People with allergies might start to notice a bit more suffering, too, as plant life starts to wake up again in preparation for the soon to arrive Spring.

Similarly to the Winter Solstice and New Year celebrations, Town is being decorated by locals and Fae folk both. Things are a bit more colorful and the sun is shining more and more instead of the continuous gloom from before.
There also seems to be an emphasis on both green and gold. Crowns or other accessories of clovers are being made for luck. Meanwhile, the Fae appear to have taken to trying to trick locals and offworlders both with glittering chests of gold that most would know are too good to be true. These are mimics who will attempt to devour someone that falls for the temptation of quick riches. Not to worry though, they're relatively harmless and all just for a good bit of fun.

⁂ Test Drive Meme #3 (April 1st, 2025)
No pranks here! Certainly not those completely non-suspicious treasure chests that have popped up around Town! Why would you ever doubt such a thing? Just ignore the small giggling of Fae folk as you draw near one. That's completely unrelated!
What also isn't a joke: it's the start of rutting season and that comes with a whole host of changes for dragon-bonded both established and newly arrive. While Charlie and others have come up with strategies (read: games) to combat or fulfill these unexpected yet instinctual urges, it may still be a bit of a struggle to adjust at first. Don't worry though! It's completely natural, normal, and nothing to be worried about.

Snow gives way entirely to scattered rain showers instead by the end of the month. Be careful not to be caught out and about without your umbrella, whether built-in via your wings or an actual one. Most rain doesn't last too long, at least, but it's never fun to get drenched.
Temperatures are consistently in the mid-40s to 50s at night but closer to 60s and 70s during the day. This makes it the perfect sort of temperature to encourage play and getting out all those Springtime instinctual urges.

⁂ Event #3: Vorrun Welcomes You (May 5th, 2025)
Only recently has aught been learned of Vorrun, relatively speaking. Previously a secretive city-state sequestered off from the rest of the world, Vorrun has now joined the alliance of Kamurkia and begun to deal in open trade. It is a sanctuary for beastmen, who still suffer some discrimination, and as such they have developed a close-knit community.
Correspondence from Nobu, a leader of their community, reaches Charlie. It is a request for aid from him and the offworlders he's been overseeing. Although a great ask, he has seemingly exhausted all other options dealing with increasingly aggressive monsters and keeping his people safe.
They are still trying to determine the cause of the sudden shift of the surrounding monster's temperaments in the meantime and maybe a few more eyes wouldn't hurt in figuring it out.

Spring has fully sprung! Plants are pollinating aplenty, warm breezes roll through the valley, and temperatures are consistently comfortable. There is more sun than anything these days and both nature and citizens alike seem to be enjoying it to the fullest.

While the weather is perfectly fine still, reports of rumbling throughout the continent begin to reach Town through word of mouth. By and large, they appear to be small tremors almost unnoticeable except to those sensitive to it. Town so far is spared from any disturbance but it is suspicious how nearly every surrounding area is experiencing some activity.
Near the end of the month, traveling merchants will speak of a large earthquake that rocked Raumm. Thankfully, the city is engineered amazingly and so they suffered minimal damages. The cause of the natural movement is yet unknown though they are investigating it.

Others might find what they actually entered is different than what is posted on the public network.

Temperatures gradually continue to warm. Although evenings are cooler, the consistent sunshine during the day and length of it means things are heating up slowly but surely. Dragons more attuned to nature - such as green! - will find their powers related to it flourishing.

Near the end of last month, traveling merchants spoke of a large earthquake that rocked Raumm. Thankfully, the city is engineered amazingly and so they suffered minimal damages. The cause of the natural movement is yet unknown though they are investigating it.
Reports indicate that the investigation is leading to looking into the offworlders in Town and what their role in all this could be. As the only unknown variable and with the string of strange happenings, it's an option the capital city must explore. What this means for Town though is still uncertain.

⁂ Test Drive Meme #4 (July 1st, 2025)
Temperatures are starting to heat up around the continent. This means better open your windows in the evenings, find the nearest body of water, or do anything you can to cool down! Charlie advises people camp out rather than stay in their sweltering homes (without A/C, no less) and provides the means to. Dimitri and Hoshiko put together training drills for dragons to practice their breath weapons in water. Slayd sings around campfires and helps keep morale up.

Temperatures start to climb and begin to hit their highest points of the season. Characters will want to find ways to cool off since homes in this day and age don't have modern amenities like A/C or refrigeration! Might be worth it to make a friend in a dragon with ice breath if you can! Insects of abnormally large sizes will also begin to appear and you may encounter them.

The earthquakes have seemed to cease. While investigation is still ongoing, for now people seem focused keeping cool rather than worrying about all that. Eventually, the heat will become sweltering as humidity climbs. Storm season is on the horizon, it seems, with warm scattered thunderstorms near the end of the month.

⁂ Come One, Come All - To A Carnevale! (August 1st, 2025)
New Svihelen has opened its port to residents of Town! To celebrate summer, they're hosting a carnevale in their harbor city. People will be given outfits to adorn, masks to wear, and encouraged to have fun! Although like with Vorrun, there is an ulterior motive for requesting offworlders here.
There are suspected cult activities taking place among their ranks. A resurgence of the Brotherhood of the Sky is feared. This carnevale is a guise for investigation that players can take active part in to start unraveling this mystery. Also, hey! There's cotton candy!

A break in the temperature for the first week of the month is expected. It is cooler near the coast in New Svihelen too. Offworlders and locals alike can enjoy summer breezes and sunshine that isn't sweltering. At least, for a little while.

The latter half of the month will begin the rainy season. Humidity climbs to all time highs and large storms roll through the continent at a regular pace. Although not the level of hurricanes or severely damaging storms, they're enough to cause some minor property damage and slight disruption to regular routines.

Although extremely humid, the worst of the rainy season seems to be over. Some places may still be a little waterlogged but everyone is overall worse for wear. Just watch out for the giant insects now roaming about thanks to all the standing water and do your best to fend them off if necessary. Perhaps some natural deterrents might be good to look into...

Temperatures remain fairly stagnant although there might be a couple of nights with a chilly breeze near the end of the month to signal that Autumn is around the corner. Locals are getting ready for big harvests, but unfortunately... The yields don't seem as abundant this year for some reason. Natives are a bit baffled but trying to get to the bottom of why so many crops seemingly didn't take.

Some time during the night of October 1st, everyone enters a collective sleep. Do you not sleep? You do now! You feel the exhaustion carry you into a dark, quiet place. For a time, you rest.
Then, like whenever you were first drawn into this world, you begin to dream. Anyone just arriving will share this dream as well rather than the typical one that ushers their entrance. Something is strange about this one though to both established characters and those whose adventure may just be beginning. It feels wrong and you will soon discover why...

The air is uncharacteristically and bitingly cold. It compels you to cuddle up, to sleep. No matter what you do, you can't resist it. Even if you try to, eventually the cold will cause your body to shut down and you'll close your eyes just for a little while. . .

Once the collective dream is over, it's back to typical weather for October. More clouds cover the sky than they did in summer and overcast lingers for days on end sometimes. It feels rather... gloomy in a way that can't be entirely placed. Is is just the time of year, or are inhabitants more shaken by the dream they shared? Time will tell.

The dark clouds beginning to linger over the area aren't the only bad omen denizens of Town are to experience this month. After officially a year, the city-state of Raumm has decided that 1) offworlders aren't going away and 2) they should probably help out a little bit.
As a result, they've sent one of their finest (retired) architects to help modernize the town a bit. Good news: he's going to do something about your lack of plumbing! Bad news: you may have a water genasi named Nen in your home unexpectedly measuring things and telling you to stay out of his way. He isn't the most friendly individual, but he's not here to make friends. He's here to do a job and do it well.
⁂ November 16th ~ 30th
Due to a shortage after a bad harvest, now more than ever community feels important. People are helping each other out where they can as they're able, but things in Town do certainly feel a bit drearier than usual and not just for the growing cold.
Before the first frost really sets in though, everyone is getting together for communal dinners and checking in on their neighbors. Maybe you could offer a bit of extra help around Town too?

⁂ Event #5 - Ice, Spice, and Everything Nice! (December 1st, 2025)
During the renovations to the infrastructure of Town, some... mistakes have been made. The person responsible has already been dealt with but, unfortunately, there is still some damage control to do. A few pipes have burst and caused some unexpectedly dazzling displays of ice. To kill two birds with one stone, Town decides to hold an ice sculpting competition. There will be entry for by human hand and by dragon claw for those wanting to flex their breath weapon mastery.
For those not a fan of the cold, Hoshiko is happy to help. Well- Some might question her definition of 'help' but she thinks she's helping. And isn't that what matters? Using some of her connections, she's imported some mulled wine, specialty foods, and other fun trinkets from her home of Raumm. Some of them are still a bit experimental so be warned if you decide to give them a spin! Her and Nen both though will appreciate any feedback on devices gone haywire.

The chill of winter is starting to settle in strong. Some people might remember last year and how not having insulated houses, heating beyond a fire, and other modern amenities is felt more keenly in these months. While some work is being done to upgrade everyone's lives, it's obviously hit a snag or two. Hold in there! You'll get plumbing eventually. In the meantime, enjoy each other's company and take shelter from the snow where you can.

There are no blizzards or cold snaps to worry about this year. In fact, it's almost uncharacteristically quiet near the end of the month. Denizens of Town are free to notice the lack of life that's to an abnormal level. First with the crops, now with the wildlife being absent, and even in the stale weather patterns. There is an unsettling stillness to the world that will cause a strange sense of dread in some.
