Hi! I have a question about power nerfing. I'm considering bringing in an OC whose magic is unnatural and therefore slowly damages the fabric of the world. The damage usually takes hundreds of years to become catastrophic but it could still be considered game breaking so I thought it would be better to ask about it.

One easy way to nerf this ability is tied to a secret about his magic. How deadly his magic is to the fabric of the world can be influenced by the world's view on magic. If the world accept his magic it is no longer seen as an unnatural threat and will stop damaging the world. How do the people of this land view the offworlders who are summoned here? Would his magic be accepted here? Or would distrust and fear cause his magic to become more unnatural and dangerous?
