Personality: Perhaps the most notable thing about Ko is his natural charisma, the sort of gravity-pull he seems to have on most everyone he comes across. He's well-spoken and charming, able to put many at ease with his words alone. With conviction behind said words, he follows through on his promises and this in turn helps people feel more confident around him. His words come easily to him, and even though he's tone-deaf and not the best at singing, he's still able to draw crowds. It's even to the point that he's revered and widely worshipped as a literal God, though this is due in part to his ability and practice of undoing brainwashing, and turning Alivers into Handead. He sort of has to be this way, as he's learned over the years. It's the only way to keep his secrets concealed ...
Ko's secrets have to be hidden at all costs. It would be pretty catastrophic if they came out to the public, as demonstrated when his past as a British gangster had come to light, and the Japanese public largely felt cheated and lied to by him. There's a bigger secret than that, however, and this is the secret he hasn't even told his most trusted and closest comrades in the Fukuoka branch group, deva. When they finally learn the truth (that his great-grandfather is the dictator that brainwashed the masses in the first place), after Ko revealed it willingly to them, they still agree to stay by his side, but he wasn't so sure they were going to. He keeps himself guarded from deva in this way and others, such as with his true emotions on a day to day basis, and the way he thinks. It's just easier to keep up the lies, to keep parts of his life separate.
Tying in to the secrecy, Ko can be pretty controlling. He does best in a leader role, and it's where he's comfortable, or so it seems. If he is in control, then he risks his secrets coming to light a lot less. It's practically innate to him to be this way, but it still doesn't come off as aggressive or overt. It's more subtle, though he does expect the best from the rest of deva and the Fukuoka branch. He'll wake up Atsuhide during meetings, or give orders to him and Shino and Takakage. Ko is content to be seen as God, and this comes through in his expectations and direction given to those around him. It's hardly ever that he relinquishes his precious control to others, because if he were to do just that, his secrets might come to light, or his mask may slip. This is the absolute worst case scenario for him.
Ko is nothing if not a martyr. He believes, as is revealed in Tempest, that his burdens to bear are just and true, due to his lineage and his inaction with his late friend, Reiji. More than likely, if his other secrets hadn't been brought to light, he would be content to suffer in silence as the Head of DAA's Fukuoka branch. Everything was fine with Ko as long as he was doing his work to atone. This atonement is both selfless — seeking to undo the brainwashing of the masses that his great-grandfather had brainwashed in the first place — and selfish — looking to atone for his past sins.
Dragon Bond Suggestion: Green or bronze; opposite or complementary personalities are fine with me Dragon Bond Changes: It'll depend on his dragon, but the green seems like it'll be amplifying the parts of him he works incredibly hard to hide. He's even vulgar with the people he knows in the same way green dragons are to other dragons. Bronze might make him act similarly to how I imagine green would, but in a more lawful good sense.
Game Plan: Will all depend on his dragon of course but my plan is to have dragon traits sort of expose who he is beneath his mask. I like up-ending his worldviews and what he thinks he knows about himself.
